Lorraine Kelly's
Woman of the Year 2025
We are beyond proud to share that Sarah Harrison, founder of Sarah’s Star, has been named Lorraine Kelly’s Woman of the Year 2025.
This incredible recognition celebrates Sarah’s unwavering commitment to supporting people living with incurable illness — and the communities who surround them with love.

From the beginnings of Sarah’s Star at her kitchen table, Sarah has built a movement that shines a light on what truly matters: connection, compassion and courage in the face of life-limiting conditions. Through our Death Cafés, community gatherings at the Linksill Centre, and our Living Matters Podcast, Sarah has helped create safe spaces where people can talk openly, laugh freely, and find comfort in one another.

Sarah’s story was nominated by her sister, Joanne Dunn, who spoke about the light Sarah continues to bring into the world — and the community that’s grown around her vision.

This award belongs to everyone who has supported Sarah’s Star along the way. Thank you for helping us make sure that no one faces illness, loss, or grief alone.
“This award isn’t about me — it’s about every person who has ever come through our doors, shared their story, or held someone’s hand when words weren’t enough. Sarah’s Star exists because of them.”
